The 36th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals on Feb. 21-23, 2020, is moving its popular Camp Wild Horse overnight campground to Maricopa Road just outside of the main gate of Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.

The new campground experience at the track located just south of Phoenix will close Maricopa Road to allow campers and fans easy access to and from the track.

The fee for an overnight camping spot (20 feet by 40 feet) will remain at $225 for the weekend – but the experience and value will increase significantly. Camp Wild Horse access will be granted to anyone with an event ticket to the Arizona Nationals.

Camp Wild Horse will be hosted each night by 2016 NHRA Funny Car world champion Ron Capps, driver of Don Schumacher Racing’s NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Charger Hellcat. Capps will be on stage for question-and-answer sessions, sign autographs and mingle with campers.

To purchase a Camp Wild Horse spot, call of call 800.884.NHRA (6472).

Camp Wild Horse will be the place to be after the nitro engines go quiet for the night with live music and added amenities.

New Amenities Include:

  • Entertainment Stage
  • CashBar
  • A General Store where ice, soft drinks, beer, water and snacks can be purchased.
  • Optional pump-out and water service will be available.

“We want our guests who enjoy watching the Arizona Nationals by day and camping out by night to have a party-like experience with features they’ve never had and that includes entertainment.”

– Mark Grado, General Manager
